A real tree brings festive magic (and that gorgeous pine scent!) into your home – and with a bit of care, you can keep it looking great all season. Here’s how:
1. Give the trunk a trim
Cut about 2cm off the base before placing your Christmas tree in water – this helps it absorb water more easily. We’re happy to do this for you when you choose your tree.
2. Water daily
Your Christmas tree will be thirsty! Make sure it’s in a stand that holds water and keep it topped up – ideally check it every day.
3. Keep it cool
Place your Christmas tree away from direct heat like radiators or underfloor heating, which can dry it out.
4. Expect a few needles
It’s completely normal for some needles to fall – especially when your Christmas tree settles into a warm home. Regular watering and avoiding heat will help reduce this.
5. Decorate & enjoy
Once it’s secure and hydrated, it’s time to get the lights on and enjoy the festive glow!
